The Angel Gabriel Foretells the Birth of Jesus
Mary, a young teenager, was living in the village of Nazareth and engaged to be married to Joseph, a Jewish carpenter. One day God sent the angel Gabriel to visit Mary. The angel told Mary that she would conceive a son by the power of the Holy Spirit. She would give birth to this child and name him Jesus.
Luke 2:15: And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, “Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.”
Luke 2:16: And they came with haste and found Mary, and Joseph, and the baby lying in a manger.”
Luke 2:17-18: When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them."
Matthew 1:18-25: This is how Jesus the Messiah was born. His mother, Mary, was engaged to be married to Joseph. But before the marriage took place, while she was still a virgin, she became pregnant through the power of the Holy Spirit. Joseph, to whom she was engaged, was a righteous man and did not want to disgrace her publicly, so he decided to break the engagement quietly.

I PREFER TO BE ASKED, “HOW YOUNG ARE YOU?":
People can become very noisy and inquisitive about your age. But if you were asked, “How old are you,” how do you answer that question gracefully without using your sarcastic mouth. My suggestion is, “I am old enough not to answer that question.” But seriously, regardless of our age, there’s always that child in all of us that refuses to grow up. We can all identify with a certain place and time in our lives and at a certain age…where we were at the time and what we were doing. Can you? I certainly can! I can remember as far back when I was four years old. I still have in my possession a vest, part of a suit my mother dressed me in when she took me to live with my grandparents. My point being? Cartoons! I love cartoons like kids love candies.
I’M CARTOON CRAVE:
I don’t know about you but I find an escape from the daily grinds of life in cartoons. I especially love feature-length cartoons. It’s sort of like an imaginary getaway. It’s like being transported into another place where there are no Prince John's tax collectors; my busybody nosy neighbour or my big mouth landlord who comes around knocking at my door asking for last month’s rent. What are your favourite cartoons? Come on, admit it! Though it has been associated with kids’ entertainment, cartoons just aren’t for kids alone. We grown-ups love them too. Can I share a (not-so-proud) secret with you? I love the FLINTSTONES.
IF YOU ARE HERE, STAY HERE:
At around this time of the year (Christmas) I am always in the mood for biblical shows. I especially love biblical cartoons. Please don’t get me wrong. I am by no means trying to convert you. I would just like to invite you and your family or if you’re just by yourself, to just relax and watch a few biblical cartoon stories. No need to go searching. I’ve put together a few titles for your viewing pleasure. So, if you are here, stay here and enjoy! Click on your favourite show below.
